Dropped call? Khloe Kardashian slammed Australian TV morning show Sunrise for claiming she deliberately cut an interview short after being asked about sister Kim Kardashianand Kanye West‘s daughter North West. See more photos of Khloe here.
On Monday, March 17, the 29-year-old reality star appeared via satellite on Sunrise to discuss the new Kardashian Kollection, which includes baby clothes. “I guess the baby line was inspired now with lots of nieces and nephews running around,” host Sam Armytage said. “How’s baby North going?”
Kardashian began to answer the question by saying her niece was “fabulous,” but the satellite appeared to drop out to a black screen.
Sunrise Executive Producer, Michael Pell, claims Kardashian’s team purposefully ended the interview due to the questions about North. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, however, denied the accusations on Twitter Monday.
“Why would I cut an interview short because of North? Get over your self Sunrise . . . The call dropped . . . stop reaching for a story,” Kardashian wrote. “You are so f–king desperate!”
Sunrise, however, reports that a local rep for Kardashian apologized to the show. Pell maintains that the interview ended because Kardashian’s team pulled the plug, and that there was no technical glitch.
“What happened with Khloe Kardashian on the show is a good lesson for publicists everywhere. Don’t try to censor natural conversation. You would think coming on to promote a range of clothes that includes a baby line, it would be fair enough to ask about the inspiration,” Pell said Monday. “When you watch the interview you see Khloe had no problem with the questions. It’s obvious someone on her team did, and pulled the plug. Khloe shouldn’t declare war on us, she should declare war on her own publicists.”
