Bolstered by positive reviews and viewer demand for more, The Goodnight Show with Michael Essany will resume production this fall as new episodes are on the way for the streaming series that debuted to favorable public reception in July.

The Goodnight Show with Michael Essany is an innovative new late night talk show streaming to 79 million U.S. homes through Amazon Prime.

Every episode features one set of parents and focuses on whatever “source of stress” is keeping them awake.

Through comedy, interviews, and insight from healthcare and education professionals, the show addresses and attempts to soothe the underlying concern that is keeping the relatable featured parents from a good night’s sleep, the show’s media release explains.

Generating national media coverage out of the gates, The Goodnight Show is now expected to return with new episodes before the end of the year.

“It’s been a wonderful experience so far and I’m looking forward to working with our great team to produce more episodes,” Essany, 34, tells us.

Unlike Essany’s previous work on E! Entertainment Television and across other major domestic TV markets and online content platforms, this is the first show Essany has hosted that isn’t celebrity-driven. And, so far, it’s shaping up to possibly be his most successful.

So is Michael himself the magic element in this new series?

“I think what’s driving so much interest in The Goodnight Show is the focus on parents, issues that matter to families, and a whole lot of silliness packed into this information sandwich,” Essany says.

Future guests and topics have not yet been announced.
